Job summary

Brixmor Property Group is seeking a BI Developer to join the Data Analytics team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Power BI reporting and semantic models that support all lines of the business, translating data from our Azure/Databricks platform into trusted dashboards.

This position emphasizes dashboard development, DAX, Power BI semantic modeling, paginated reporting, and disciplined change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• 3+ years in BI, analytics engineering, or BI development roles.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI including dashboards, paginated reports, DAX, and semantic modeling.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema design.
• Experience using Tabular Editor for model development.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and pull request workflows.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for project tracking and deployment coordination.
• Strong SQL skills and querying curated warehouse tables.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports for operational, accounting, and executive stakeholders.
• Build and maintain paginated reports for standardized and regulatory-style reporting.
• Partner with business users to translate requirements into clear, intuitive, performant reporting solutions.
• Ensure reports follow established format, performance, and governance standards.
• Develop and enhance Power BI semantic models using star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Create, optimize, and document DAX measures for complex KPI definitions.
• Add and manage calculated columns, relationships, and role-based logic as appropriate.
• Use Tabular Editor and Azure DevOps within Git-based workflows for project delivery and deployment.
