Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond seeks a Research Administrator to support post-award research administration across a diverse portfolio. You will coordinate between PIs, departments, sponsors, and central offices to ensure compliant award management and proactive financial stewardship.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong communication. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-campus obligations as needed.

Formación

• 2+ years of pre- and post-award research administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex government regulations and contractual terms.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; proactive in seeking guidance.
• Strong problem solving and time management; prioritize deadlines.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as primary administrative liaison between PI, department, sponsor, and central offices for financial and admin management of awards.
• Prepare and review financial reports and budgets; ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines.
• Manage effort reporting, salary allocations, and ECC compliance; coordinate payroll adjustments.
• Monitor subawards, cost transfers, and procurement charges; support audits.
• Submit sponsor reports (RPPRs, financials, closeouts) on time.
