Job summary

Hightower Advisors in Chicago seeks an experienced trader/portfolio operations professional to join the Overlay Management team. You will rebalance client portfolios, oversee trades, and ensure compliance with investment policies on the Hightower One platform.

The role requires 2–5 years in trading or portfolio operations, proficiency with OMS/EMS, SQL and advanced Excel, and strong collaboration with advisors and managers. Hybrid work, competitive base salary, and bonus potential are offered.

Qualifications

2–5 years in trading or portfolio operations.
Experience with OMS/EMS, TAMP platforms, portfolio optimizers, and trade blotter workflows.
Domain knowledge of trade lifecycle, settlement mechanics, cash management, and tax-lot accounting.
Advanced Excel and SQL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Overlay management: rebalance client portfolios to policies, generating trades per tracking error, risk, cash, and tax triggers.
Trade Execution: oversee transmission of block orders to custodians, ensuring timely, accurate allocations.
Cash Management: process ad-hoc cash requests and track settlements for distributions.
Reconciliation & Compliance: run daily account reconciliations, manage exceptions, and produce audit trails.
Cross-functional Support: coordinate with advisors, managers, compliance, custodians, and vendors.
