Job summary

MasTec Power Delivery is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of foundation scopes for major transmission line and substation projects. You will ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery while coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, and Project Controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive project management experience in construction.
• Experience managing civil or foundation scopes.
• Experience with transmission, substation, utility infrastructure, heavy civil, or large-scale foundation construction.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of concrete construction, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, excavation, drilled foundations, spread footings, piers, piles.
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, and forecasts.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, and field execution.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to project and field locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution for transmission and substation foundation scopes from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Oversee foundations for transmission structures, substations, equipment, steel structures, and associated civil work.
• Coordinate engineering, surveying, geotechnical requirements, material procurement, equipment, labor, and subcontractor activities.
• Partner with field leadership to establish efficient construction methods, sequencing, and production plans.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including scope, performance, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Monitor project performance and proactively address schedule, cost, resource, and technical risks.
• Work closely with Engineering to resolve design issues, constructability concerns, RFIs, and field changes.
• Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of concrete, reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, specialty materials, and other critical foundation components.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, utilities, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting on cost, schedule, safety, quality, progress, and risks.
• Manage change orders, project documentation, forecasting, and commercial issues.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with contract requirements, engineering specifications, safety standards, and MasTec policies.
• Drive lessons learned, process improvements, and best practices across foundation projects.
