Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an entry-level engineer to join its Energy Supply Power Generation team, supporting the reliable operation of power plant assets and focusing on electrical systems.

You will provide technical support for equipment repairs, assist with project design, procurement, and commissioning, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Project teams to maintain safe plant performance.

Qualifications

• Required bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited curriculum.
• Electrical engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops technical documentation and calculations for designs, testing, and standards.
• Provides ongoing technical support for project activities in Operations, Maintenance, Testing/diagnostics, and Regulatory.
• Coordinates or leads projects or portions of projects under supervision.
• Supports bid/evaluation processes by basic analysis and calculations.
