Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver seeks an experienced Staff/Senior Engineer to contribute to the design and construction of utility-scale renewable and dispatchable generation facilities. You will collaborate with EPC contractors, operations, and suppliers while ensuring top-quartile facility performance.

The role requires on-site presence three days a week during commissioning, transitioning to a hybrid arrangement later. Strong communication, proactive problem solving, and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree is required.
• EIT/FE strongly preferred; PE may be required for certain needs.
• Experience with utility-scale projects and design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist non-critical to critical projects under supervision.
• Provide field oversight during commissioning, testing, and inspections.
• Budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and work order management in support of projects.
