Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an entry engineer to develop technical expertise in a focused specialty area. You will work under supervision on projects with a mix of design, testing, and field activities.

The role offers a pathway to higher levels with increasing responsibilities and potential field oversight. Hybrid work is supported, with onsite collaboration three days per week depending on team and role.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 0+ years relevant engineering experience.
• EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical standards, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope.
• Develops technical documentation including designs, calculations and reports.
• Provides ongoing technical support for project activities in Operations, Maintenance, Testing/diagnostics, Regulatory, etc.
• May supervise interns, drafters or technicians and coordinate project work.
• Supports bid/evaluation processes with basic analysis and calculations.
