Job summary

MAU Workforce Solutions seeks a Plant Controller for our Rutherfordton, NC client site. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, cost management, and financial operations for a manufacturing facility, with a focus on process improvement and operating results.

The position is direct-hire and hybrid, requiring a mix of onsite and remote work. Candidates should have a CPA is not required, but a strong accounting background in manufacturing and SAP experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and finance activities to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and budgets.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and audits.
• Maintain fixed asset reporting, budgeting, and asset capitalization.
• Review manufacturing cost and variance trends and advise corrective actions.
• Prepare operating analyses including inventory movements and cost of goods sold.
• Maintain product standard costs in SAP and review BOMs/Routers for costing accuracy.
• Collaborate with purchasing and operations to improve cost components.
• Support development and improvement of business processes.
