Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor/Disability Assessor in Durham. You will assess PIP functional assessments, using clinical reasoning to inform reports in a non hands-on role within a hybrid model of home working and assessment centre time.

Essential: NMC/HCPC registered nurse or allied health professional with UK experience; strong communication; 35 WPM typing; right to work in the UK. Benefits include structured pay progression, bonus potential and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC-registered professional (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or OT)
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
