Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, part of Elevance Health, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I – Data Entry to accurately enter prescriptions and support pharmacists. The role requires reading and transcribing prescriptions, knowledge of ICD-10, and clear communication with members and providers.

Hybrid work is offered with in-office presence 1–2 days per week; high school diploma and pharmacy certification are required, with 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred. Location: Lake Mary, FL.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience.
• Current State Pharmacy Tech license/certification is required.
• National Certification may be required depending on state.

Responsibilities

• Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists.
• Interprets and transcribes prescriptions, charts, and lab notes, with ICD-10 coding knowledge.
• Educates members on prescription rules, resources, and assistance programs.
• Resolves grievances and appeals related to prescriptions.
• Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales teams, and members about formulary and prescription benefits.
