Job summary

BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, part of Elevance Health, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I to support interpretation and data entry of basic prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and issue resolution. The role emphasizes collaboration with pharmacists and provider offices to ensure accurate processing and timely therapy.

Hybrid work arrangement with in-office presence required 1–2 days per week at the Lake Mary, FL location.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience or equivalent background.
• Current State Pharmacy Tech certification required where applicable.
• Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies member information and inputs data for pharmacists.
• Educates members on pharmacy rules related to prescriptions and resources.
• Resolves information required to process prescription orders with provider offices.
• Responds to inquiries from physicians, sales team, and members.
• Generates documentation in patients’ accounts in EnterpriseRX with accurate notations.
• Supports delivery of high-quality lifesaving pharmacy care for complex conditions.
• Processes specialty prescription orders accurately and in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborates with pharmacists and providers to prevent therapy delays and ensure service quality.
• Contacts healthcare provider offices to clarify prescription details and resolve discrepancies.
