Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. in Ohio seeks a licensed pharmacist to evaluate medication orders, supervise medication preparation, and communicate with healthcare teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy, independent work, and problem-solving across long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The position offers a consistently hybrid schedule with 4/10 night shifts (8pm–6:30am) and alternating weekends, plus competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be reliable and able to multitask.
• Computer literate; knowledge of the FrameworkLTC system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related inquiries.
• Supervise the preparation of medications.
• Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and client facility staff, when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
• Maintain customer databases, including medical history, clinical, laboratory data, and other relevant information.

Schedule: Hybrid schedule with alternating work weeks— 4/10s over night 8pm-6:30am and every other weekend. 2 days on site- 2 days remote.
