Job summary

SpecialtyRx in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to manage medication orders and collaborate with healthcare teams. This role demands an Active Pharmacist license and involves evaluating appropriateness of prescriptions, supervising preparation, and communicating with medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer databases including medical history and other relevant information.

Licensed Pharmacist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related inquiries.
• Supervise the preparation of medications.
• Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and client facility staff, when necessary.
• Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
• Maintain customer databases, including medical history, clinical, laboratory data, and other relevant information.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule with alternating work weeks—1 week on-site followed by 1 week remote. 1st or 2nd shift available, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy required.
• Previous Long-Term Care experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be reliable and able to multitask.
• Computer literate; knowledge of the FrameworkLTC system is a plus.
