Aston Carter in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll for commercial construction projects, including multi-state, union, and prevailing wage requirements. The role begins in the office and transitions to a hybrid model with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

You will handle garnishments and deductions, ensure compliance with payroll tax and certified payroll, assist with quarter- and year-end processes, and collaborate with IT to improve payroll system

Qualifications

• 1+ years of payroll experience in a semi-complex environment.
• 1 year of union experience.
• Proficiency in computer and technology use related to payroll.
• Experience with payroll tax, certified payroll, and prevailing wages.
• Experience with SAP and ADP Workforcenow.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for a semi-complex environment including multi-state, union, and multiple organizations.
