Job summary

The Carlyle Group in Washington, DC is seeking a Payment Operations Staff Accountant to handle vendor onboarding, master data maintenance and payment processing tasks. The role focuses on accurate wiring instructions, tax forms, and 1099 activities within a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will utilise PeopleSoft, SAP Ariba, and Concur, while delivering strong customer service to internal and external partners. This hybrid role requires in-office presence four days a week.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Accounting, Banking or Payment processing environment.
• Fundamental understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor management activities including onboarding and documentation.
• Verify vendor information, tax forms, and wiring instructions.
• Support monthly 1099 reporting and vendor profile updates.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor inquiries via ServiceNow and escalate urgent issues.
• Back up employee setup and reimbursement requests.
