Qualifications

• Experience in accounting within a public sector financial management setting.
• Familiarity with DOHMH payment and accrual systems and related city finance platforms.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing payments and accounting activities for designated divisions, ensuring contract/purchase terms are met.
• Ensure payments comply with directives from oversight entities (Comptroller, PBP, FISA, state/federal regulations).
• Review provider expense claims, request supporting documents, and communicate discrepancies.
• Log findings and coordinate resolutions for post-payment reviews and audits.
• Maintain the master Excel tracking sheets with timely status updates.
• Prepare financial schedules, projections, expenditure reports, and reimbursement forms.
