Job summary

Wood River Health is hiring a Patient Services Representative in Hope Valley, RI. The role includes checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments across behavioral health, dental, and medical departments, handling insurance verification, and maintaining patient data in the Practice Management System and EHR.

The position requires strong customer service, data entry and familiarity with NextGen scheduling; a background in medical terminology is a plus.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
1–2 years customer service experience preferred.
Minimum 1 year medical office experience preferred.
Electronic Health Records experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Ability to effectively use MS Office Suite, Internet and email.
Cultural sensitivity for diverse patient and staff population.

Responsibilities

Greet patients/guests and direct them to departments.
Check patients in and out.
Answer incoming calls in a fast-paced call center environment.
Record telephone calls/messages in EHR.
Provide professional customer service to ensure efficiency and positive patient experience.
Import, scan, file and check documents for completeness and accuracy.
