Regional Cancer Care Associates is seeking a compassionate Patient Intake Coordinator in Manchester, CT. You will be the first connection in a patient’s cancer care journey, guiding new patients through intake, coordinating appointments, and providing information and support.

This hybrid, full-time role offers $16.94–$24.10 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision plans, a 401(k) plan, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Two years of call center-related experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology.
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle high call volumes with quality service.
• Must complete onboarding courses within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for new patients with exceptional service.
• Manage high volumes of inbound/outbound calls with empathy and efficiency.
• Collect and verify patient information and insurance details.
• Communicate appointment logistics and preparation instructions.
• Document interactions in the system in real time per protocols.
• Resolve inquiries and escalate as needed.
• Meet KPIs like call handling time and first-call resolution.
• Collaborate with clinical teams for scheduling accuracy.
• Maintain patient records and HIPAA compliant confidentiality.
• Support additional administrative tasks as assigned.
