Job summary

Banner Health, based in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a Patient Relations Coordinator to manage inbound complaints and grievances across Banner Hospitals and Clinics. The role focuses on de-escalation, accurate documentation, and timely resolution from a centralized location.

Training is onsite for 6 weeks at Mesa Corporate, after which the position becomes hybrid, with Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm shifts, supporting patients, families, and staff while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a relevant field with 1–3 years of experience.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for patient relations issues, de-escalating with compassionate communication.
• Coordinate and document all patient relation cases to ensure timely resolution.
• Review patient records and assist in investigative findings as needed.
• Communicate with clinical staff and leadership to obtain information and respond to concerns.
• Maintain privacy and HIPAA compliance in all communications.
