Job summary

Harbor Health Services is seeking a Patient Accounts Associate to join our Billing team. The role is hybrid, with on-site work at the Mattapan, MA corporate office after completing on-site training; hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include entering charges, submitting claims, posting payments, and addressing discrepancies with billing. EPIC/OCHIN EPM experience is highly desired. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in medical billing.
• Working knowledge of billing systems; EPIC/OCHIN EPM highly desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Enter charges, submit claims, and post payments.
• Address discrepancies with billing charges, payments and/or denials, and advise coder.
• Bill claims weekly from the billing system.
• Run reports to ensure claims are billed and submitted on time.
• Post payments and denials weekly to prevent billing issues.
• Log into the phone queue daily and answer patient questions.
