Job summary

Mass General Brigham Incorporated is seeking a Patient Business Representative Team Lead to oversee billing and financial counseling workflows, guiding a team of PBRs in navigating insurance, financial assistance, and patient access.

You will train new hires, collaborate across care management, social work, and revenue cycle teams, and serve as the primary contact for complex patient financial issues; training occurs at Brigham and Women's campus before assignment to Faulkner Main Campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare admin degree preferred.
• Experience in healthcare setting focusing on patient access and registration (2–3 years).
• Knowledge of patient access procedures and insurance coverage.
• Excellent customer service, active listening, empathy, and communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead training of new hires and retraining as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for patients with billing/financial issues.
• Oversee billing/revenue cycle knowledge and compliance.
• Collaborate with Case Management, Social Work, and other departments.
• Assist in projects and department resources.
