Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative for our Ventura, CA office with three days remote work. You will greet patients, assist with account processing, insurance questions, and patient liability resolution, while handling mail and correspondence processing.

Requires a High School Diploma/GED and 0–2 years in healthcare or revenue cycle operations. EPIC experience and proficiency with Windows, Word and Excel are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of relevant healthcare/revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with hospital billing and insurance communications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests at the hospital business office.
• Assist patients with account processing, insurance questions, and resolution of patient liability.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail to the appropriate offices.
• Triages and scans types of correspondence into the system.
• Post payments to patient accounts.
• Respond to patient inquiries by phone and mail.
