Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Account Representative — Self-Pay to join our El Segundo, CA office. The role involves handling patient and insurer calls to resolve accounts on a hybrid schedule (two days in-office, three days remote).

Responsibilities include updating demographics, verifying insurance, and providing excellent customer service. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, 0–2 years in healthcare or related fields, and bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 3 years relevant experience.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• 0–2 years experience in healthcare, insurance, finance or customer service.
• Knowledge of insurance claims, billing, coding, follow-up, or related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming and outgoing calls with patients and insurers to resolve accounts.
• Follow client policies and procedures.
• Assist patients with policy statuses and insurance verifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and clients.
• Update patient demographics and initiate account adjustments.
• Complete assigned projects and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Support the client and patients with requested tasks.
• Communicate concerns or areas for improvement to Guidehouse management.
