Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3 years’ experience with billing, financial screening, insurance verification, collections, or customer service.
• Knowledge of patient coverages and funding types preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Assist in COR, ED, and Admitting Registrations using the customized CBO tool.
• Determine financial responsibility and refer patients to financial assistance programs.
• Screen patients for deposits and facilitate referrals/prior authorizations.
• Provide information to patients, physicians, nurses and treatment teams to maximize reimbursement.
