Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for the PATH project in the School of Nursing MBU. The role supports the PI in conducting translational, human-centered research, coordinating IRB submissions, data management, and community partnerships.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The CRC will work with investigators, community partners, and research teams to ensure compliant operations, quality data collection, and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences, health sciences, psychology, research, or related discipline.
• Experience in project management, organization, and time management.
• Experience or training in human-subjects research activities.
• Experience supporting IRB submissions and regulatory documentation.
• Experience supporting research operations and study management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple timelines with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting research protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research activities under PI direction and approved protocols.
• Maintain IRB materials and regulatory documentation.
• Develop project-management systems to track activities and milestones.
• Maintain study records and version-controlled documents.
• Coordinate logistics with investigators, community partners, and stakeholders.
• Support participant recruitment, consent, and data collection.
• Assist with qualitative data collection and mixed-methods analysis.
• Prepare study reports, abstracts, and dissemination materials.
• Participate in team meetings and program evaluation.
