Job summary

VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support Principal Investigators in activation, execution, and management of oncology clinical research studies. The role includes patient recruitment, data collection, and maintaining regulatory compliance across IRB and GCP standards.

The position reports to the Massey Clinical Trials Office within the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and requires a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health research and/or healthcare-related fields or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must complete mandatory competencies and certifications required by VCU and VCU Health, NIH training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PI in assessing study feasibility and eligibility; establish guidelines for data collection.
• Recruit patients/participants and manage enrollment tracking.
• Maintain IRB compliance and staff training credentials (CITI, GCP).
• Coordinate study visits and data entry, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Ensure studies are audit ready and compliant with protocols and policies.
