Job summary

The City of Brighton is seeking a Sustainable Business Program Coordinator to help build and run a new program for local businesses. You will engage with businesses to promote the Colorado Green Business Network (CGBN), provide custom sustainability reports, and connect clients to funding and resources.

This is a part-time (30 hours) position funded by a DRCOG grant for roughly four years, with potential extensions if funds remain available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Three years of professional or technical program planning experience.
• Valid Colorado driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Sustainable Business Program standards, including initial assessments, recertifications, audits, criteria updates, and reporting.
• Maintain regular communication with and participate in training through CDPHE CGBN program.
• Engage businesses in CGBN and develop strategic work plans to expand certified green businesses.
• Provide consulting and concierge services to help decarbonize buildings.
• Connect businesses with rebates and resources to reduce environmental impact.
• Support certification requirements and track program metrics.
• Develop case studies showing energy/water savings and program value.
• Prepare annual reports highlighting impacts and outcomes.
• Promote and market the CGBN program and benefits.
• Collaborate with City departments, partners, and the local business community.
