Job summary

Universal Shield Insurance Group is seeking a P&C Underwriter in Dublin, Ohio. The role analyzes and prices new and renewal business within delegated authority for admitted and surplus lines products, applying forms and endorsements to mitigate risk and maintain profitability.

The candidate will develop agent relationships, provide underwriting guidance, and stay abreast of market trends and innovations. A strong customer service focus and solid time management are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years of Commercial P&C underwriting experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPCU/CIC designation pursued is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service focus.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new and renewal business to accept, price, modify, or reject within authority.
• Apply forms, endorsements, and deductibles to mitigate risk.
• Build strong relationships with agents and provide underwriting guidance.
• Maintain profitable book of business within authority levels.
