Lead the Ocean Marine and Inland Marine product suite across the US, shaping underwriting guidelines, pricing, and broker distribution. Build and guide a skilled underwriting team in collaboration with the Vice President of Special Risk.

The role emphasizes strategic growth, profitability, and strong broker partnerships, with travel as needed to support national markets and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Senior-level underwriting experience with leadership
• Extensive Ocean Marine underwriting knowledge
• Experience building and leading an underwriting team
• Ability to develop and manage product and book of business

Responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and manage Ocean Marine and Brokerage Inland Marine offerings
• Establish GWP goals and profitability strategies
• Oversee loss ratio and underwriting profitability
• Develop guidelines, pricing strategy, and product standards
• Underwrite new and renewal Ocean Marine business
• Build and mentor a high-performing underwriting team
• Foster broker and production-partner relationships across the US
• Market products to brokers and pursue new accounts
• Monitor portfolio performance and market trends
• Support Strategic Planning and growth of Special Risk
