Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to lead end-to-end deployment of the AI Connect Ultra Long Haul Network, driving engineering, real estate, and construction for ILA and OSP infrastructure. You will plan projects, coordinate with Global Real Estate, Network Planning, PSC, AI Connect, VBG Sales, and external vendors to ensure timely network builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant experience in OSP/fiber engineering, construction, or site acquisition/real estate.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and maintain outside plant infrastructure.
• Analyze potential site locations and create business cases for site acquisition.
• Manage external vendors and purchasing to align with activation targets.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and interface with landlords and authorities.
• Guide junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
