Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to drive end-to-end deployment of network infrastructure, including data center interconnectivity and fiber deployment. The role involves cross-functional collaboration across Real Estate, Network Planning, PSC, AI Connect, VBG Sales, and external vendors to ensure on-time builds.

You will lead analysis of site locations, manage permits, and guide junior engineers while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in OSP/fiber engineering, construction, or site acquisition/real estate.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and maintain outside plant infrastructure including route analyses for fiber installations.
• Lead site acquisition and manage permits with Real Estate and regulatory stakeholders.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to align construction with activation targets.
