Job summary

International Rescue Committee in the Bay Area seeks an Operations Manager to coordinate all operational functions in the San Jose and Oakland offices, reporting to the Executive Director. The role requires leading S&S, supply chain, facilities, and IT activities with regular weekly onsite presence.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of related experience, fluency in English, and strong communication and leadership abilities, with a background in nonprofit settings.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional S&S matters.
• Implement and maintain all office S&S documentation.
• Organize all-staff S&S meetings at office or program site.
• Ensure at least one annual emergency evacuation exercise and trainings per HQ guidance.
• Cascade HQ and/or office security warnings to staff, interns and volunteers.
• Report all S&S incidents following established protocols.
• Coordinate immediate incident management including filing police reports.
• Build relationships with security stakeholders and partners including authorities and community organizations.
• Assist in developing office-specific S&S onboarding materials and briefings.
