Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Oakland, California, is seeking a Volunteer and Donations Coordinator to connect community resources with client needs and ensure program compliance. The role leads recruitment of volunteers, manages in-kind donations, and supports communications and fundraising efforts across NorCal.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated success in community engagement.
• Experience in fundraising, sponsorship solicitation, or donor cultivation.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteers and interns and design opportunities to support IRC programs.
• Coordinate in-kind donations, storage, inventory, and distribution.
• Lead community outreach events and manage office social media content.
• Support corporate engagement activities and grant-matching programs.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly reports on volunteer and donation activities.
• Collaborate with program managers to meet fundraising targets and program needs.
