Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. seeks an Operations Accountant (SGL15) for a hybrid role based in AR, MO, OK, or ME. You will apply accounting principles to record financial data and generate reports for Summit and subsidiaries.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in accounting, at least 3 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. Preference for regulated utility accounting; cross-department collaboration is key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Regulated utility accounting a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Record financial information and prepare monthly close in GAAP.
• Analyze journal entries and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with audit requests and PBC schedules.
• Collaborate with State Ops and FP&A on coding and questions.
• Identify process improvements within the close cycle.
