Job summary

Giant Spoon is seeking an Associate Creative Director, Writer in New York to touch every part of the creative process, steward storytelling for brand partners, and bring ideas to life across formats.

You will collaborate across teams, translate strategy into ideas, and lead on-set with vendors while mentoring junior staff. This hybrid role is based in New York with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a conceptual writer in an advertising agency.
• Mastery of concepting, campaign architecture, and short form writing.
• Experience with conceptual thinking across campaign development and cross-channel execution.
• Digitally connected, eager to apply technology and innovation.
• Ability to craft internal and client presentations with clear POV.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Ideate with ACD, Art partner to deliver client goals and expand brand narrative.
• Translate strategy into creative ideas considering brand story, market, and competition.
• Develop internal/external presentations of ideas and thought processes.
• Present work to leadership with clear point of view and push creative boundaries.
• Lead relationships with vendors (directors, stylists, editors) on shoots.
• Mentor junior team members and manage projects.
• Present work passionately to clients and build relationships.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Design and Production to preserve creative integrity.
