Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and manage a best-in-class cloud platform for a leading investment team in New York City. You will implement scalable AWS-based infrastructure, deploy and maintain Kubernetes (EKS), and drive automation using Terraform and Ansible.

You will work in a hybrid setup (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) with collaboration across engineering and business partners to ensure reliable, secure, and performant cloud services for trading

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, networking, storage, and observability.
• Hands-on experience deploying containerized apps in production and managing Kubernetes (EKS).
• Proficiency with IaC and config management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of AWS cloud services and networking.
• Deploy, manage, and scale production Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
• Administer Linux-based systems (RHEL and Debian).
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Enhance configuration management with Ansible.
• Troubleshoot production issues in mission-critical environments.
• Collaborate with development, business stakeholders and internal teams to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Apply engineering best practices balancing quality, reliability, and speed.
