Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing in a Hybrid position to begin Fall 2026. The non-tenure track, 12-month faculty appointment supports an online Master’s program with on-campus immersive labs and periodic travel to the Laredo campus.
The successful candidate must hold a Doctorate in Nursing with a Master’s in Nursing, at least 5 years of RN/APRN practice, 5 years of nursing teaching, and Texas RN licensure with
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university (ABD considered if doctorate earned before appointment)
- Master's degree in nursing required
- Minimum 5 years clinical practice as RN/APRN; minimum 5 years teaching in nursing education
- Current unencumbered RN license in Texas; meet APRN certification requirements for specialty
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned didactic and/or immersive nursing courses in graduate and/or undergraduate programs (up to 15 credit hours/semester)
- Supervise and evaluate students in coursework and clinical experiences
- Develop and evaluate curriculum; establish community partnerships; participate in college/university committees
- Advise students; travel to Laredo for immersive labs several times per academic year; attend required assemblies and ceremonies
