Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineering Manager in the Pittsburgh area to lead and deliver complex engineering and technical consulting projects in the nuclear power sector.

You will mentor engineers, oversee scope, schedules, budgets, and quality while coordinating with cross-functional teams across regions. This role emphasizes client engagement, business development, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15+ years of progressive experience within the nuclear power industry.
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of light water reactor technology and advanced reactor designs.
• Ability to lead teams, manage scope, budgets, schedules, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and technical projects in nuclear power.
• Manage studies and project assignments with client communications and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers through design processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support multi-region delivery.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, reports, and deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Support business growth through client relationships and strategic initiatives.
• Lead proposal development including responses to RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, and similar opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative, safety-focused, client-centered work environment with best practices.
