Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager – Nuclear to lead engineering and business development for nuclear power projects, reporting to Global Director, Nuclear.

The role sits within the Power Business Unit and involves multi-disciplinary teams to deliver studies, design, and owner’s engineering for clients. You will mentor junior staff, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with global teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree from a recognized college.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience within the nuclear power industry.
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Experience with light water reactors and advanced reactor designs.
• Ability to manage and motivate individuals to attain quality deliverables, cost and schedule objectives.
• Broad knowledge of codes and standards for the nuclear industry.
• Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
• Experience in engineering, procurement and construction and related interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver high quality engineering and technical consulting services for nuclear power projects.
• Manage assigned studies and projects for clients including interfacing and reporting, monitoring budgets and schedules.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff on nuclear design processes.
• Support business development efforts and Hatch's strategic initiatives, including proposals.
• Review and approve technical deliverables.
• Manage the proposal process for RFPs, EOIs, RFQs, and other formats.
• Adhere to and promote Hatch culture.
