Job summary

Astronics AES in Redmond, WA is hiring a Senior or Staff Quality Engineer for New Product Introduction. Hybrid/onsite role with two days from home; local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities focus on quality performance for new products and collaboration with development teams. Ideal candidates have 5+ years (Senior) or 8+ years (Staff) of relevant experience, LEAN Six Sigma knowledge, and proficiency with ERP/PLM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials, CS, or related)
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems and process auditing preferred
• Strong problem solving, root-cause analysis, and 8D/What-If methods
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze quality data to identify trends and update standards
• Ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Conduct internal and supplier audits as applicable
• Contribute to quality process/guidelines improvements
• Develop methods for inspecting precision and accuracy
• Identify and address NPI quality issues and prevent recurrence
• Provide internal/external trainings on processes and systems
