Job summary

Astronics Corporation's AES seeks a Senior or Staff Mechanical Engineer to join the Cabin Electronics Product Support Team in Kirkland, WA. This hybrid/on-site role offers work-from-home flexibility up to two days per week and targets candidates in the greater Seattle area.

The engineer will evaluate designs, run root-cause investigations, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to improve manufacturability, cost, and product reliability across in-seat power systems for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Senior Mechanical Engineer: typically 5+ years of direct experience.
• Staff Mechanical Engineer: typically 8+ years of direct experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and review design changes to ensure products remain producible.
• Develop or modify assembly fixtures and tooling to support production and testing.
• Generate and review detailed design documentation for enclosures and assemblies using CAD and 3D printing.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
