Job summary

New York Life seeks a Service Representative to support agents, clients, and management in a hybrid local office. You will manage insurance policy applications through the new business process, helping agents with questions and processing service requests efficiently.

The role requires at least 2 years of customer service and administrative experience, solid MS Office skills, and strong communication. Training is provided; schedule is Monday–Friday, 7.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service and administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent day-to-day customer service to agents, clients, and management.
• Coordinate underwriting requirements by interacting with agents, clients, outside medical vendors, and underwriters.
• Assist with workflow of applications for life products, annuities, contract changes, policy billing and initial and downstream accounting entries related to the new business process.
• Answer incoming calls, greeting customers and potential agent candidates may be required.
• Assist with in-person responsibilities to provide the support required of the Agents and Agency Managers within the General Office.
