Job summary

Ledgent Technology in La Mirada, CA is hiring a Network Operations Engineer (direct hire) with a salary range of USD 70,000–95,000 per year. Initial training lasts 3–12 months with 5 days of 8 hours, then transition to 4 days/10 hours. Hybrid on-site: 2 weeks on-site, then work-from-home for the rest of each month.

The role covers Juniper/Cisco devices and senior-level routing knowledge. Shifts include day, swing, and graveyard.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a network operations environment or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on with live Cisco and Juniper devices and configurations.
• Understanding of network security, ACLs, firewalls and IDS.
• Experience with firmware upgrades and network maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team via tickets, daily calls and Slack.
• Coordinate with network contacts and vendors by phone and email.
• Handle multiple events and daily tasks with good judgment.
• Be willing to work shifts and rotate schedules as assigned.
• Work independently to implement compliant network solutions.
• Perform risk assessment and pursue secure configurations.
