STAR Financial Bank, an Indiana-based community bank, seeks a Network Engineer to design LAN/WAN, datacenter, and wireless networks and to install and manage critical infrastructure. You will identify vulnerabilities, oversee security controls, and coordinate with third parties to keep networks performing optimally.

The role requires strong communication skills, problem solving, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco devices for branch, data center, and WAN services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Design company networks including LAN, WAN, datacenter and wireless.
• Install, configure and manage network infrastructure equipment (APs, SD-WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, proxies).
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities on network infrastructure systems.
• Manage overall network security controls for the enterprise.
• Monitor networks to identify bottlenecks and plan capacity.
• Oversee third-party engagements for network, data center, or telecom services.
• Research emerging technologies and assess value for the environment.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of network infrastructure.
• Provide guidance to internal and external customers and to team members.
• Oversee procedures for provisioning and basic management tasks by Service Desk/Systems Administrators.
• Support telecom apps (Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco WebEx) and coordinate with Information Security.
• Monitor telecom performance and provide reports and statistics.
• Maintain policies, procedures, and training for telecom, usage, and disaster recovery.
• Document network, Teams Phone, and WebEx contact center environment.
