Job summary

Rigetti Computing in Berkeley and Fremont is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to own hands-on networking and physical infrastructure while supporting AWS cloud and DevOps practices. This hybrid role spans lab/fab environments and cloud infrastructure with minimal travel.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in on-site networking, AWS, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), and Kubernetes. You will work across both labs and fabrication spaces, providing end-to-end infrastructure

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years with physical infrastructure and data center hardware.
• 5–8+ years networking concepts incl. TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls.
• 5+ years with Arista, Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Raritan, APC, or similar.
• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, or troubleshooting physical servers, network devices, or infrastructure systems.
• On-site work at Berkeley and Fremont locations.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs (22.6 kg).

Responsibilities

• Own the network across Berkeley labs and Fremont fab and integrate hardware with IT processes.
• Install, rack, cable, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, switches, firewalls, and storage.
• Support IT with cable management, hardware maintenance, upgrades, and software config.
• Provide hands-on infra support at both locations.
• Troubleshoot network issues including connectivity and routing.
• Plan maintenance, upgrades, and changes to network infra.
• Design and stand up infra for new labs and fab builds.
• Complete cleanroom training as needed.
• Handle overnight maintenance windows and on-call rotations.
