PMA Consultants seeks an experienced NetSuite Project Accounting Specialist for a hybrid role at our corporate headquarters in Ann Arbor. You will partner with project managers and finance leaders to manage contract setup, budgeting, and billing within NetSuite.

Ideal candidates have ERP-driven project accounting experience, strong communication skills, and a focus on accuracy in project records and invoicing. The role supports multiple client contracts in a professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in business or accounting preferred, or 10 years of relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of project accounting experience in a similar role with billing and general accounting duties.
• Experience with NetSuite and NetSuite billings module required.
• Experience with other relevant software (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Deltek Vision).
• Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage project lifecycle billing activities within NetSuite ERP.
• Customize invoices following multiple clients' requirements.
• Keep project records and project files organized, updated, and easily accessible.
• Establish project and task structures within NetSuite to support contractual billing requirements.
• Monitor and manage project account balances to identify outstanding debts or inconsistencies.
• Communicate with project managers and clients to resolve payment issues.
• Organize timesheet data for invoices and coordinate sub-consultant invoices and expenses.
• Monitor project budgets to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Alert project managers when budgets approach maximum.
• Answer questions and handle communications with clients regarding invoices and collection duties.
• Participate in internal initiatives supporting other departments.
