Job summary

University Health is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Nephrology team in a hybrid role split between inpatient and outpatient care.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of nephrology experience and holds a Texas NP or PA license with national certification, prescriptive authority, and BLS/DEA as required. You will work closely with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NP or PA program with board certification.
• Two or more years of direct nephrology experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN and APRN license (NP) or Texas PA license; national certification; prescriptive authority; BLS; DEA within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient nephrology care in a hybrid schedule.
• Manage patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans and educate patients and families.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
