Job summary

University Health in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Nephrology team in a hybrid role spanning inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will manage patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, collaborate closely with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams, and participate in quality improvement efforts while supporting education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current Texas RN and APRN license (for NPs) or Texas PA license; DEA license within 90 days of hire.
• Board certification in NP or PA; nephrology exposure preferred.
• Two or more years of direct nephrology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hybrid inpatient and outpatient nephrology care.
• Manage and follow patients with acute and chronic kidney disease.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to create treatment plans.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient education.
