Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. seeks an experienced National Commercial Title Coordinator and Processor in Midtown Manhattan.

This hybrid role involves managing commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing, coordinating with lenders, attorneys and clients to ensure accurate title commitments and timely closings. You will support underwriting decisions, review title documents, and help resolve curative issues while maintaining detailed file notes and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of substantive experience in commercial title processing or related CRE transaction roles.
• Experience assisting senior underwriters with complex commercial transactions and insurability evaluations.
• Strong understanding of commercial title insurance, title commitments, surveys, and CRE docs.
• Experience coordinating with lenders, attorneys, agents, buyers, sellers and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively with underwriters, processors, closers and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Open and establish new transaction files, draft requirements and notes for title commitments.
• Review purchase/sale/loan documents, affidavits, title docs, surveys for title issues and risks.
• Coordinate all aspects of commercial title orders from opening to closing.
• Assist senior underwriters by gathering and organizing documentation for underwriting decisions.
• Order and review due diligence items (title searches, UCCs, tax certs, etc.).
• Analyze title searches, surveys, legal descriptions, and corporate records for defects.
• Prepare title commitments, preliminary reports, endorsements and closing documents.
• Work with escrow and closing teams to clear title requirements for closing readiness.
• Communicate with agents, attorneys, lenders and stakeholders to maintain workflow.
