Job summary

T&M Associates is seeking a Supervising Engineer to lead our Municipal Department across New Jersey. This hybrid role oversees a team of engineers and manages capital improvement projects for multiple municipal sectors, balancing technical rigor with client-facing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil engineering, a PE license, and strong leadership. Experience with Land Use Boards and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience, including project management for design and construction.
• PE license (required).
• PP license a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience reviewing Land Use Board applications and night meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
• Team-oriented, self-starter with willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of municipal engineers.
• Oversee engineering documents for municipal projects (plans, specs, cost estimates).
• Manage multiple high-priority projects, interfacing with clients and regulators.
• Conduct or oversee field inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Review site plans, zoning applications, and subdivisions with detailed reports.
